Enrolment Fee
A single payment of € 2,000 for all pupils from Foundation 2 upon entry. Payment is not required at Foundation 1 level.

Annual Tuition Fees
Tuition fees are invoiced annually. For students joining us during the course of the academic year, tuition fees are calculated in full term units (1/3 of annual fee).  

Capital Fee
The Capital Fee is an annual development fund contribution of 7% surcharge on the Tuition Fees.  This payment is not required at Foundation 1 level.

School Bus Service
An optional service available for students living in The Hague and surrounding areas (not available for Foundation 1 children). Fees are cost covering and will be added to the annual Tuition Fee invoice. The normal notifications of leaving requirements are applicable. Parents who carry the main burden for the payment of school fees i.e. receive little or no assistance from their employer, or have other exceptional circumstances preventing them from paying fees as one annual payment, are welcome to contact the Director of Finance (wouter.hoobroeckx@britishschool.nl) to discuss possible alternative payment arrangements.

Additional Costs

Learning Support
There are additional costs relating to the provision of a Learning Support Assistant for individual children with Special Educational needs. For children requiring 1:1 attention an annual all inclusive fee of up to € 35,000 (for 100% support) will be charged. Please contact the school for more details.

English as an Additional Language
General support for junior aged children with English as an additional language, is provided within the school fees.  
Senior School students joining the school with very little or no English will be assessed and parents will be advised of the additional costs for this intensive tuition.

School Uniform

Annual Field Trips Y7-Y12
These are an integral part of the educational programme. Costs vary depending on destination, mode of transport, length of stay, etc. A detailed letter explaining the costs is sent to all parents before the trip. These are invoiced separately after cost details are confirmed.

Examination Fees
There are a number of statutory charges, set by the Examination Bodies, Careers bodies and so on that are passed on to parents through the school. These fees vary according to year groups and further information may be obtained from the School Office. These will be invoiced separately.

Cultural Visits, International Sports Tournaments & Co-curricular Clubs
These are optional, with variable costs depending on destination, mode of transport, length of stay, etc. A detailed letter explaining the costs is sent to all parents asking for permission for their child(ren) to attend. These are invoiced separately after cost details are confirmed.


NOTICE OF LEAVING & REIMBURSAL OF FEES

Formal notification of leaving must be with the School Office three months prior to the child’s last day of school.

The following dates act as the deadline for receipt of notification of leaving in the school year 2011-2012:

-    Leaving at the end of the Autumn Term (16 Dec 2011) : Notice required by 16 September 2011
-    Leaving at the end of the Spring Term (30 March 2012) : Notice required by 6 January 2012
-    Leaving at the end of the Summer Term (13 July 2012) : Notice required by 20 April 2012

When pupils leave during the course of the year, fees will be reimbursed as follows - so long as the required notification is received:

Pupils leaving during or at the end of the Autumn Term . . . . .. . . . 2 terms fees will be reimbursed
Pupils leaving during or at the end of the Spring Term . . . . . ... . .. 1 term fees will be reimbursed
Pupils leaving during or at the end of the Summer Term . . . . . . . . No reimbursement will be made

Failure to provide the required notification will result in fees for the following term being retained. Please note that a full term fee is charged for any part‐term attendance.  Pupils leaving the school are required to clear all obligations before final records will be forwarded to the next school or University.
