Following its participation in this weeks World Maths Day, Junior School Diamanthorst are celebrating some outstanding results: finishing 26th out of 28,500 schools in the world, 8th in its middle school category worldwide and 1st in The Netherlands, the students are justifiably proud of their achievement.

There are many statistics coming out of World Maths Day and the most important fact is that JSD worked as the most incredible team.

With Mrs Pogson’s precise planning, the staff’s wonderful efforts, and most importantly the children’s incredible enthusiasm World Maths Day was enjoyed by all. The children participated in many different maths based activities during the day, from squared metres in year 5 & 6 to Maths songs in Year 1 and Foundation 2 to intricate designs with compasses in Year 3 & 4 to Number fun in Foundation 1. There are photos of the day to view in the JSD Photo Gallery on ParentNet.

Our ambassador Uzoezi Isaac-Onwah, one of only 19 worldwide, is carrying out her Ambassadorial role with great pride. Please check her Ambassadors blog at the link below. Well done JSD for a fantastic effort.
