Leidschenveen Campus building starts!

As the sun shone down on the warmest day of September so far, work started on the new Leidschenveen Campus.  At 14:30 on Thursday 11 September the first pile was driven into the ground where the newest BSN school will stand.

Following the traditional Dutch builder's holiday in August, and the final approval of the architectural designs, work has now started on building the new Junior School Leidschenveen campus.

Head of the new school, Mr David Porritt, was there to see the builders break ground:

" It is a wonderful opportunity to be here right at the moment that this new project has started.  We now have the chance to add another stunning building to the BSN family of schools.  I am really looking forward to seeing it develop over the coming months.

We will make sure that we take regular photographs of the site so that children and parents  can see the progress we are making.  It will also provide an historical record to share with future generations of children as they join the school.

I am very excited at the thought of this new school community that we will be building together over the coming months and years. "

The new campus will not only include a new Junior School for 3 - 11 year olds, but also a Day Care Centre for 0 - 3s, a Community Centre and a fully equipped Sports Hall.

Further information on progress of the building work will be posted regularly on ParentNet and on the school website.
