The children of Junior School Leidschenveen welcome you to our vibrant community of learning and achievement. JSL is a school where children from every corner of the world learn together, play together and make friends, each and every day. Children, Learning and Enjoyment go together
We believe that children should enjoy their learning at school and that they should want to keep on learning after they move to new schools, wherever they may be. We celebrate the importance of children becoming effective communicators, that they are powerful listeners, make effective presentations, enjoy reading and writing and have lots of opportunities to perform. We find that helping children to appreciate their strengths, their favoured ways of learning and supporting them in areas that they need to develop helps them to become truly effective learners. It is our aim that the children who come to JSL are happy and make a positive contribution to their friendships, their learning, the wider community, their family, and their school. We provide children will lots of opportunities to learn to work in teams, contributing as a leader and a follower.
Creativity & Technology
Our children enjoy school in a child centred, purpose designed building. Our school is dedicated to using technology to promote learning. We want our children to be technologically astute using it appropriately, responsibly and for the greatest impact on their own learning. We celebrate the children’s creativity, talents, skills, knowledge & understanding in meaningful and exciting ways.
Global Citizens
Finally we pride ourselves on the children’s good behaviour which is developed throughout the school It is important that our children become responsible citizens with an awareness of civic and global issues; of service and giving; that they appreciate sustainability; and are seen to exercise self control. JSL children become confident, creative and conscious of their contribution to the world.We look forward to welcoming you to JSL.
