This is a part-time, fixed term position to work 2 days per week starting November 2011, or as soon as possible.
The Art & Design Studio Technician is required to prepare facilities for students and to support teaching staff in the Art Department. Tasks include preparing work surfaces, materials and equipment for use in classes or exams and assisting teachers or students with technical matters, as well as occasional secretarial duties.
The successful applicant would ideally have an Art qualification; the bias is not too important as long as the candidate is prepared to assist with screen-printing and supporting lower school classes using a variety of media. The technician will be flexible, able to prioritise workloads and able to work as part of a team whilst the ability to think around a problem is essential.
