We are looking for a Temporary Full Time Learning Support Assistant at our Junior School Vlaskamp.
The Initial hours are from 08.30 - 16.00 Monday to Friday and the contract offered will be untill 13th July 2012. However there is a posibility these hours may decrease over the period of the contract.
In this role you will support students with Special Educational needs throughout the school day in all activities to ensure that the child gains full access to the Curriculum.
Applicants need to have a calm and patient manner in order to establish a supportive relationship whilst encouraging independency in the student.
This role requires candidates to make an assessment of the student’s needs, to plan medium and short-term targets, modify materials as appropriate, to monitor progress and to keep up to date records. Candidates will preferably have experience of working with SEN students. The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a close team on a daily basis.
Experience of working with children with significant learning challenges will be an advantage.
