Paul Topping appointed BSN Senior School Headteacher

After a rigorous recruitment process which involved strategic presentations and the ample opportunity to meet and interact with colleagues and students,we are pleased to announce that Paul Topping has been selected to be the new Headteacher at Senior School Voorschoten, starting in September 2017.

Paul is currently Principal at South Bromsgrove High, an Ofsted Outstanding School and a National Teaching School, in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, England and took up post there in 2010. Prior to this, he was Founding Headteacher at Hadley Learning Community in Shropshire from 2005. Paul's formative years were spent in the North West of England.

Alongside his current role, Paul is a National Leader of Education, has an Executive Lead role with Edge Hill University and is an Ofsted Inspector. He has a Master’s Degree in Education, completed the National Professional Qualification for Headship in 2003 and obtained the Professional Qualification for School Inspectors in 2013.

Paul enjoys sport, participating in triathlons and road cycling events and has been known to play the trumpet in school orchestras. 

James Oxlade has ably guided the school throughout his tenure as Acting Headteacher. The Board of Governors and Board of Management is appreciative of his leadership, commitment and all that has been accomplished as a result. James Oxlade will finish the present school year as Acting Headteacher.
