Whole School Event

On Monday, 4 September, the BSN invited the families of our 380 new students to take part in the annual BSN Welcome Day.

The mornings began with a meet-and-greet on each campus, where students could meet their teachers and familiarise themselves with their new classrooms. Soon after, several buses departed from the three junior schools to take everyone to the Welcome Day festivities held at Senior School Voorschoten.

After a brief presentation from various departments, families walked around to the many market stalls to learn more about the BSN, and enjoyed lunch in the beautiful Senior School atrium. There were even some football matches held on the new pitches. This was also a wonderful opportunity for new families to meet one another and get to know their community a little better.

The responses from families were overwhelmingly positive, with reviews such as:

“I have been to some other independent schools, and what went on yesterday was pretty impressive.”

“As a new parent I was nervous, but since the Welcome Day, I have met with other families and that has been a massive support.”

“The atmosphere was just great.”

With over 800 people in attendance, we are pleased to know that it was enjoyed by so many. We hope that these families continue to make their place in our community and look forward to seeing them grow with the BSN.
