Year 12 BTEC Hospitality students - who are completing a study on the scale and diversity of the hospitality industry - visited Jamie's Italian Restaurant in Den Haag and the Nayoile restaurant in Voorschoten.

Chef Kevin Lin Talks with the Students

Both trips were not only enjoyable, but very informative on how these businesses operate for success. The amazing food was a nice addition that was much enjoyed!

Kelvin Lin, the Michelin Star chef and owner of Nayoile, gave the students an insight into the importance of fresh ingredients and maximum flavour for his work. His passion for real food was an inspiration for all of us.

Jamie's Italian gave an excellent presentation to the students on the important characteristics and management of their restaurant. The culture of the Italian dining experience at Jamie's was explained, alongside their impressive career structure and daily operations. Jamie's Italian principle of healthy foods and drinks for children was also clear from their presentation.

We would like to thank both companies for the time and energy invested in our students. Trips like this are invaluable to their learning experience, and we hope they take it with them for years to come.
