“Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant.”

JSV Year 3 to Year 6 students were encouraged during their "Let's Grow" assembly this week to think about the benefits of growing plants. Ms Liz Jones explained that growing plants can provide enjoyment, food, and is good for the environment, fun  and a great stress relieving activity. Students were excited to receive their own packet of seeds, containing  seeds to grow a flower, a herb and a vegetable, and were given tips and advice on how to grow these at home.

Tips on growing the seeds at home included recycling and reusing items from home, such as making the seed raising container from old egg cartons or cardboard paper towel cylinders.
