As early as Year 8, we give your child university and career advice and guidance to support them as they consider their options for after Senior School.

It is extremely important to us that your child follows their passions and that if they choose to go to university, they study a course that interests and engages them. We encourage students to explore career options and to choose their degree having considered a career path, and how that degree might help them towards that goal.

We are incredibly proud to see BSN leavers attend some of the best universities in the world. Take a look at the map below to see some of our leaver's university destinations.

Our students have gone on to study in over 23 different countries across the globe at top universities, including:

  • Oxford University, UK
  • Duke University, USA
  • As well as the University of Amsterdam, here in the Netherlands.

To support your child in their university applications we offer Year 13 students individual interviews with the Head of Careers and a specialist in their chosen field of study.

With an international focus and a diverse, multicultural community, our students’ choice of university is broad and varied.

This support extends even after students have received their final exam results in the summer, to ensure each student is well supported and prepared for university life.

Careers Library

Our Careers Library is available to all students during the school day and we have a range of recognised careers resources on CANVAS (student learning platform).

We hold individual and group sessions with an expert team to support your child with their employability skills.

Personal, Social, Health & Economic (PSHE) Education

Our PSHE Education involves informing Year 12 students about the broad range of courses available in higher and further education. Your child will complete a CV and personal statement and we encourage them to develop their personal brand.

In Year 11, 12 and 13, we provide your child with the opportunity to meet people from a wide range of professions and discuss their career aspirations at our annual Careers Evening.
