We understand that moving to a new country and finding the right school can be an overwhelming experience.
Our Family Association - or Parent Teacher Student Association - at the BSN is a warm, open and welcoming community. The Family Association is an organisation run by a group of parent volunteers from across the BSN’s four campuses.
Events & Activities
As a team, we organise a range of activities and events that provide opportunities for parents, teachers and students to connect with each other and to come together as a whole school community.
Some of these events also raise funds that go towards supporting the BSN’s students, charities and local community groups.
By joining the BSN, you are automatically a member of the Family Association and can join any event or activity throughout the year or volunteer to help out with one of the FA’s teams.
Family Association Teams
Our four Family Association Teams are here to help you settle into the BSN and life in the Netherlands.
We understand that moving to a new country and school can be daunting. The FA’s Welcome Team are here to help make it as easy as possible for you. We also run weekly ‘drop-in’ coffee mornings at each campus where you can meet other parents and guardians and find out more about how to get involved with the FA and the school community.
The International Team is here to help you connect with other parents and guardians from your home country as you settle into a new school community and new environment. The team consists of a group of parent volunteers who act as International Representatives for a range of countries and languages.
The Social Team organises a range of fun and interesting events throughout the year for the whole BSN community. These include:
- museum tours
- city walking tour
- cycling tours
- quiz evenings
- cooking classes
- and much more!
Our events are open to everyone.
The FA collects and resells good quality, used items of uniform and books. Sales are held at different campuses and at other FA events throughout the year.
