At the BSN a large number of students and staff are involved in making the school more eco-friendly and raising awareness for environmental issues.

Each of our campuses has a strong commitment to creating positive, engaging outdoor spaces. Although each setting is different, we value involving children in outdoor activities.

This commitment includes:

  • Gardening clubs
  • Growing food
  • Forest School activities
  • Other outdoor learning

Junior School Eco Projects

Environmental integrity is part of the BSN Character profile. Mr Environmental Integrity helps children to take care of our world.

At each Junior School, the students use their Forest School areas as part of the curriculum, during after school clubs, and during playtimes. In this time, they might construct shelters or study pond life.

How Forest School Supports Learning

Gardening clubs help the children to appreciate where food comes from and allows them to explore eating new foods. They also take on the responsibility of learning how to care for plants.

Senior School Eco Projects
