Senior & Sixth Form

The annual BSN Model United Nations (BSNMUN) 2021 conference will take place online from 09:00-17:00 on Saturday, 13 March 2021.

Student-led online event

This student-led online event will be held over one day on Microsoft Teams; the theme of the conference is ‘Finding connections in a divided world’.

Jonathan Lapinskas, Senior School Voorschoten English Teacher and BSN MUN Director,

The theme of the conference was chosen by our Super Six BSNMUN student leaders. I think it really captures the sentiment of the need for cooperation and connecting with others, especially in light of the politically divisive events we have experienced over these past few years.

BSNMUN 2021 offers students (14-18) from participating schools the opportunity to lobby with other delegates and debate as well as vote on resolutions that aim to tackle topics. Delegates will be allocated different delegations to represent in a variety of committees.

Model United Nations (MUN)

The Model United Nations (MUN) is an organisation fully led by sixth form students in which students learn about diplomacy and international relations through regular meetings in which students debate world issues, preparing them to attend MUN conferences. At the BSN, MUN meets during scheduled co-curricular activity (CCA) time.

2021 BSNMUN Secretary-General (BSN Senior School Voorschoten Sixth Form Student),

BSNMUN allows students to not only learn about global issues, but to truly engage with them.
