Project Africa Achievements

Ndege Primary School, the host school for the BSN’s Project Africa, won a Commendation for Special Educational Needs (SEN) Library provision at the Kenyan National Libraries Association Awards Event last weekend in Nairobi.

This is an incredible accolade as the Library was only built by the BSN’s Project Africa in 2013. This bears testimony to the importance in aid work of close collaboration with people of integrity like Geraldine Nanjala, Ndege Primary’s Librarian, who passionately care about their community. With the support of the entire BSN community, Project Africa has annually added to Ndege Primary’s resources, especially with items like toys, aimed at the school’s SEN students so they can learn social skills and work on their dexterity through play. As the only Primary School Library in the district it is an example to all.
