Music / Performance Trips

This past May the BSN Concert Choir took its annual tour. In the four years since the choir was founded we have toured London, Tuscany and the Costa Brava and this year we were lucky enough to go to Dubrovnik in Croatia.

The Concert Choir is an auditioned vocal group made up of children from all four campuses of the BSN from Year 4 through to Year 8. Our touring choir is made up from our Year 6-8 members and is typically a group of around 30 singers. We perform three formal concerts in five days plus some singing around the streets as rehearsal and to advertise our concerts and this year we sang in some beautiful venues, most particularly St. Blaise’s church in the centre of Dubrovnik Old Town.

We always have an excursion day with the children and this year we were lucky enough to have a full day’s boat trip to the Elaphiti Islands just off the coast of Dubrovnik and explored their beautiful sandy beaches.

We were also treated to a fantastic folklore show with local dances and songs from Čilipi.

Next year, for our fifth anniversary, we plan to tour the south of England and head to Somerset for concerts in Wells Cathedral and the surrounding area.
