BSN Student Nominated for Athlete of The Year

Gabriela Millward Vazquez has been nominated for the Rijswijk Athlete of The Year in the Individual Category.

Gabriela, who is in Year 10, is a member of the Sports Leaders group at the BSN having previously represented the school in the COBIS Games as a year 7 in Istanbul.  Gabriela is also a key member of the school Ultimate Frisbee team and has encouraged a range of students to join the activity - she has subsequently gone on to represent The Netherlands at under-17 in the European Championships and as her nomination highlights, as a 14 year old in the Under 20 category at the Ultimate Frisbee World Championships in Poland where she was the youngest participant in the whole competition.

Gabriela is up against some varied competition ranging from a Kickboxer and an Aikido Shin-Ki-Tai specialist, two athletes and an ultimate strong man.
