Excitement filled the room from the moment the Junior School Vlaskamp Musical Celebration Evening began as a percussion group opened the evening with a surprise performance set up in the in the back of the hall.
Students in the JSV Choir, the School of Rock group, and the Ukele Group went on to give memorable performances of Coldplay's Viva la Vida and Bastille's Pompeii. There were several solos spanning talents on the piano, saxophone, violin, and the trombone - including a few dance numbers to accompany. In between all of these performances, students emceed the event which added to the fun, playful element of the show.
To round out the night, the entire group performed Adele's Rolling in the Deep and even brought the audience to join in for an encore performance. It was indeed a celebration of music and the hard work the students and staff have put into their performances for the entire year.
