The BSN competed in the annual SMASH swimming gala on Saturday 12 January.

The event is always well attended and this year saw 7 schools competing. Swimmers aged 10-18 years competed in events from 50 up to 200 metres in all strokes and the BSN put in an excellent performance across all age groups. In addition to the overall scoring, there was a separate competition for boys and girls.

The boys team performed exceptionally well, winning both senior relays on their way to 1st place  overall and our girls team did themselves proud by finishing in a commendable 3rd place. Their combined efforts earned the BSN 2nd place overall. A total of 20 personal best times were achieved and Year 13 student Sean N. set a new record in the 50 m backstroke as part of the Medley Relay team.

Well done to all and a huge thank you to all the parents who were there to support!
