On Sunday 15 March 2026, more than 400 members of The British School in the Netherlands (BSN) community – both learners and staff – took part in a very special CPC (City-Pier-City) Loop (CPC Run) in The Hague: the 50th edition! Widely recognised as one of the Netherlands’ largest running events, the CPC Run brings together tens of thousands of participants each year.

Learners and staff from across our four campuses each ran the 1K, 2.5K, 5K or 10K (with a few even braving the Half Marathon!). With sunshine from start to finish, it was a brilliant day to be out in The Hague, whether running or cheering from the sidelines.
I did the 1 kilometre run. It was very fun! I met some friends along the way. I liked during the end where they said to just sprint and my mum was like ‘Oh no’!
- Junior School Year 3 Learner
Huge congratulations to everyone in our community who participated this year. It was fantastic to see so many taking part, wearing their BSN t-shirts with pride (always fun to see how many you can spot in the crowds!), and there were some amazing achievements. We are proud of you all!
Now a running ‘BSN’ tradition, the CPC Run brings together learners, families and staff each year in a shared experience beyond the classroom. The sense of community and support on the day is what makes it so special, and why we look forward to it each year!

Thank you to all those who helped make the day run smoothly, from those supporting on the sidelines to all the BSN staff and parents who volunteered their time on the day. In particular, thank you to Paul Ellis (Senior School Voorschoten) for coordinating the races for our learners, and to Roxanne Bouma-Levin (BSN Central Services) for organising staff participation.
We can’t wait for next year’s CPC Run!
