On Friday 12 September, the final round of the Wiskunde Olympiade (Dutch Maths Olympiad) took place at Eindhoven University. This prestigious event brought together the top 130 students from across the country who had achieved the highest scores in the second round of the competition back in March.

We are delighted to share that Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) students Parsa and Zeynep (Year 13), Amy (Year 12), and Aadriyan (Year 10) all qualified for this top group - an impressive achievement for the BSN.

The final was a demanding three-hour exam consisting of five questions each requiring a detailed explanation of the students’ reasoning. While the challenges were considerable, our students reported that they thoroughly enjoyed tackling the problems.

Here is the first question from the competition. Can you solve it?

We are extremely proud of the students' accomplishments and look forward to celebrating their results when they are released in October!
