Congratulations to The British School in The Netherlands Class of 2022 on their A-Level and BTEC results, which the students collected today.

Interim Headteacher of Senior School Voorschoten, Vicki Hallatt, said:

Our Year 13 A-Level and BTEC students have shown real dedication to their studies and have demonstrated resilience in sitting formal exams after the disruption of the Covid pandemic. For these students, it is the first set of external exams they have sat in school. The results are a testament to the tenacity of the students and teachers.

'Headline statistics do not tell the individual stories of all of our A-Level and BTEC students, but it is fantastic to announce that this year’s results are higher than our previous A-Level results pre-Covid.'

Celebrating BSN Students’ Achievements

As a non-selective school, the results at A-Level are particularly outstanding. 42% of all grades were graded A*-A, and 84% of all grades were graded A*-C. Seven individual students earned all A* grades, which is an incredible achievement.

There was a 100% pass rate for the BTEC courses, and BSN BTEC students gained an impressive number of Distinctions.

In addition to the Year 13 student achievements, a number of Year 12 students received excellent AS-Level results today. These are further qualifications students will be able to use for entrance to further education. Well done to all these Year 12 students on their impressive results.

BSN CEO, Heath Monk, welcomed the results:

'Hearty congratulations to all our A Level and BTEC students who received their results today. The impressive outcomes following the challenges of the past years highlight the dedication and resilience that our students have shown.

The students should feel great pride in what they have achieved, and I am confident their perseverance will serve them well as they move on from the BSN to the next stage of their journey.

'I wish them all the very best and hope many of them will come back in the future to share their accomplishments and memories as valued members of our alumni community.'

BSN Students Secure Places at Top Universities

Students have gained entry to prestigious universities in the Netherlands, the UK and around the world. They will be heading to various destinations, including TU Delft, Erasmus, and HAN University of Applied Science in the Netherlands, Imperial College, BIMM and Durham University in the UK, and St Louis in Madrid.

Recognising the Support of the BSN Community

In addition to celebrating the hard work and fantastic outcomes achieved by the students receiving their results today, Mrs Hallatt extends her gratitude to the BSN community,

I would like to take the opportunity again to thank all teachers for supporting their students to achieve so well and all the parents and families for their support.
