Following two years of dedication and hard work, Year 11 students at both Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) and Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) celebrated an outstanding set of GCSE results today, 21 August.
Strong Results for SSL Learners
Senior School Leidschenveen (SSL) Year 11 students celebrate a strong set of results: this year, 18% of exams were awarded the top grade of 9, while 57% achieved a grade 7 or above. Additionally, 86% of all entries were graded 5 or above.

James Oxlade, Headteacher at SSL, commended the students for their achievements:
We are incredibly proud of all our SSL students for their hard work and successes in this year’s GCSE results. These outcomes are a testament to not only their dedication and resilience but also the support of their families and teachers through the years leading up to these achievements.
As they take their next steps – whether at the BSN or beyond our doors – we look forward to seeing them thrive with confidence and ambition.
Congratulations to each and every one of you!"
SSV Students' Hard Work Pays Off
At SSV, students achieved equally impressive marks. 19% of exams were awarded the highest grade of 9, with 60% achieving grade 7 or above. 93% of all entries were graded 5 or higher across a broad range of subjects.
Patrick Heuff, SSV Headteacher, shared:
The SSV and SSL students should feel very proud of the impressive set of results they achieved! The GCSEs require persistence and perseverance from students, and these outcomes highlight the strong foundational knowledge and skills they have developed thus far.
It is also a show of their character and endurance, which we pride ourselves on supporting students to develop during their time at the BSN. On behalf of the entire SSV community, congratulations!”
Our students’ outcomes are not only a reflection of the students’ commitment, but also of the collective support provided by the SSL and SSV community – including teachers, staff, and families – who have played a vital role in guiding and supporting them throughout their respective GCSE journeys.

Looking Ahead to the Sixth Form at BSN
As our students take their next steps, they will be welcomed into Sixth Form – whether at Senior School Leidschenveen, offering the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes, or at Senior School Voorschoten, where a range of pathways are available, including the IB, A-Levels, and BTEC. Across both campuses, staff are committed to supporting each student’s continued growth, providing the guidance, opportunities, and challenges needed to help them reach their individual goals.
Congratulations to our incoming Sixth Form students!
