Results Sixth Form

We are delighted to celebrate the significant achievements of the Sixth Form International Baccalaureate (IB) students at The British School in The Netherlands (BSN), who received an excellent set of IB results.

THE CULMINATION OF TWO YEARS OF HARD WORK

International Baccalaureate students in the Diploma and Career-related Programmes receive their results today. These results represent the culmination of two years of our students' diligent efforts, perseverance, determination, and focus. Their well-deserved success is reflected in the pass rates across both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IBCP), 98% and 100%, respectively.

IBDP

  • Our students' average Diploma point score in the IBDP is an impressive 35.
  • The worldwide average point score of 30 was surpassed by over 80% of our students.
  • One in five students scored 40 points or more out of a possible 45, putting them historically in the top 10% of students worldwide.

Beyond the BSN

Our students hold offers from many of the world's top research universities, including the University of Oxford, Princeton University, TU Delft, and McGill University, as well as to profession-focussed undergraduate programmes, including at Breda University of Applied Sciences and Glion Institute of Higher Education. Our IB students will be heading off to study in colleges across North America, Europe, and the UK this coming autumn.

Patrick Heuff, Senior School Voorschoten (SSV) Headteacher, said,

'We are extremely proud of our students and the results they have achieved in both the IB Diploma Programme and IB Career-related Programme. These results represent two years of very hard work, and the outcomes are a testament to that.

Whilst we are particularly proud of the students achieving university places at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world, this only tells a small part of the success stories of our students.

'We will continue to support them in their next steps and look forward to hearing about their future achievements. Well done to the IB class of 2023!'

''Congratulations to all of the students who received their results today.

They should feel incredibly proud of what they have achieved in their IB programmes and during their time with us at The British School. I would also like to recognise the dedication, support and guidance their families, teachers and other staff have provided to these students throughout this time.

'Wherever the next chapter of their lives will take them, we are delighted that they will remain part of the BSN community as valued members of our alumni.'
