Another set of fantastic results! Many congratulations to The British School in The Netherlands’ Year 11 cohort on their GCSE examination results.

Commenting on the results, Acting Headteacher, James Oxlade said: “Another set of great GCSE results from our Year 11, some of our best in recent years. Of the 1279 separate examinations sat in the summer, over 1200 led to grades A*-C/9-4 which represents the fantastic achievement of our students. Over half of all grades were either A* or A/9-7. A big congratulations to them, and to their families and the BSN staff who have supported them so well over the duration of the course. Whether they are continuing onto the BSN Sixth Form or off to new pastures, they can be proud and confident that they have an excellent foundation with which to continue their studies.”

This cohort also posted exemplary scores in Maths and English Literature, with 17% scoring a 9 in Maths (UK National Average 3.5%) and 10% scoring a 9 in English Lit (UK National Average 3.2%).

2017 BSN GCSE Results:

20% of all grades were A*/9
53% of all grades were A* - A/9 - 7
94% of all grades were A* - C/9 - 4
96% of students with 5A*-C/9-4

2017 UK National GCSE Results:

UK A* - A/9-7  = 20%
UK A* - C /9-4 = 66.3%

Well done to all!
